Therapy FAQ — Attachment Lab Counseling Dallas & Online

  • Yes. My job as a therapist is to create safety and that starts with keeping what you say in session private. As a Dallas-based therapist who is a mandated reporter in Texas, there are a few exceptions to confidentiality including reporting child abuse and connecting you to resources if you are a danger to yourself, and I make space to thoroughly discuss these policies in our first session and answer any questions you have.

  • Absolutely. 80 minute sessions are available upon request and are especially helpful for couples who want to get an accelerated amount of work done in one sitting or EMDR clients who need more time to process. 80 minute sessions are offered at a prorated rate of $225 for individuals and $275 for couples.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your reserved session time, Attachment Lab requires 48 hours notice. No-shows and late cancellations are charged the full rate of the appointment. If you are running more than 10 minutes late to your session, it will be cancelled with the option to reschedule for another time in the week if I have an opening available. This policy is in place to protect your time as late sessions feel rushed and are often less productive for processing.

  • Attachment Lab does not provide in-person emergency services to clients in Dallas or online and my availability to respond to phone calls, text, and emails is limited to standard business hours. Clients experiencing a mental health emergency can text or call 988 for 24/7 support and should visit the nearest emergency room if experiencing active crisis.

  • In response to the No Surprises Act, you are entitled to a “Good Faith Estimate” which breaks down the expected cost of your treatment. You will receive this estimate from Attachment Lab before treatment begins and have the right to request it at any time. For more information, please visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises

  • In compliance with Texas law (House Bill 4224 and Section 181.105 of the Texas Health and Safety Code), the document provided here informs you as the client of your rights and and the resources available to you
